I’m always asking you, the patient, questions. So here is
some information about me.
In 1979 I qualified from the four year full-time course at the
British School of Osteopathy, London, with a Diploma of Osteopathy
(DO) and became a member of the General Council and register of
Osteopaths. That body was superseded by the new statutory body,
and in 2000 I was registered by the General Osteopathic Council
(GOsC)
Since 1979 I have also been a member of the British Osteopathic
Association and in 1988 I helped set up the South Wales Osteopathic
Society.
In 1990 I became an External Examiner for the G.C.R.O./GOsC
In 1992 I was accepted onto the Law Society Register of Expert
Witnesses. That year I also served as a member of the Welsh Health
Planning Forum set up by the Welsh Office.
Since 1997 I have been a Clinical Assessor for the NHS Complaints
Process.
In 2001 I was made a co-opted Member of the GOsC Communications
Committee.
I have written articles for the British Osteopathic Journal
and the Journal of Osteopathic Education.
I have a family of two children, am a member of the Swansea
Bay Rotary Club, and enjoy cycling, reading and trying to learn
the saxophone.
